Grand Hyatt Shanghai is the 'highest hotel in the world' in the heart of Shanghai's financial and business district. ionair systems were installed to ensure a clean and healthy environment for guests and staff members. Cooking odors and tobacco smoke odors migrated into the atrium area. The Atrium is a open area from the 56th floor to the 88th floor. The transportation of contaminant from floor to floor caused many indoor air quality complaints. Before ionair was installed the air handling systems used 90% of expensive outdoor air in attempt to control food and smoke odor problems. ionair improves the quality of the indoor air in such an efficient way that the need of outside air could be reduced to 30% which results in substantial maintenance and energy savings. back to reference projects |
