Concert & Congress Center Saar, Germany The Concert & Congress Center in Saar, Germany has two large (60,000 CFM) air-handling units. These units use mostly recirculated air which is treated by the ionair® system. The ionair system includes 14 ionair IMG-F-8 modules which restore nature's high levels of ionization while removing offensive odors, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and germs from the indoor air and recirculated air. Optimum air quality is provided for over 1,400 people through the ionair ICE/A-2000 controller, which monitors airflow, humidity and VOCs in order to automatically adjust the intensity of ionization. System conditions can be recorded on ionair's Data Center website through use of a Veritas box and the internet. This allows the user to monitor the facility air quality, ionair system operation, and trend data. Energy savings of greater than 50% can be achieved through the use of recirculated air that has been regenerated by the ionair system. back to reference projects
