University of Cincinnati College of Medicine Cincinnati, OH The College of Medicine housed in the Medical Sciences Building on the University of Cincinnati campus is one of the leading academic health centers in the nation. The ground level gross anatomy labs each contain 14 cadavers and approximately 40 students and faculty. Odors common to a gross anatomy lab resulting from decomposition and embalming fluid are unpleasant and may cause adverse health affects. ionair® has been added to the lab's air handling system to minimize exposure to these offensive VOCs. The controller monitors the environment and adjusts to changing conditions of the lab. Improved air quality has reduced complaints and concerns from students and faculty Exposure to hazardous chemicals are maintained within acceptable limits Unpleasant odors in hallways and adjacent classrooms have been minimized The ionair® system retains a safe and pleasant environment back to reference projects
